1. Data Entry of prescription
2. Billing Prescriptions
3. Handling prior authorization and rejections appropriately
4. Contact insurance companies for coverage eligibility and reason for a rejection
5. Call medical offices to obtain new and refill prescriptions
6. Assist clientele with the intake process for manufacturer and non-profit organization copay assistance programs
7. Assisting in any situation that occurs in the daily operation of the pharmacy.
8. Customer Service
9. Following protocols and procedures as assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Supervising pharmacist.
· Knowledge of drug categories
· Experience with billing multiple insurance carriers.
· 1-3 years’ experience handling data entry.
· 1-3 years’ experience handling pharmacy software (Datascan)
· Professional phone and written etiquette
. Must be computer literate and have good written and oral communication skills.
